Dramamine General Information
Dramamine (brand names include: Antivert / Bonine / Bonamine / Dramamine) belongs to a class of drugs known as antiemetics.
Dramamine is used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness.
It may also be used to reduce lightheadedness, dizziness, and loss of balance (vertigo) caused by diseases that affect the inner ear.
Dramamine Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take your medicine exactly as directed.
The usual recommended dose for vertigo is 25 to 100 mg daily.
The usual recommended dose for the prevention of motion sickness is 25 to 50 mg taken one hour before traveling. The dose may be repeated every 24 hours for the duration of the journey.
Dramamine Precautions
Tell your doctor before taking Dramamine, if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you have any serious medical conditions including asthma or glaucoma;
you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
