Duvoid General Information
Duvoid (generic name: bethanechol; brand names include: Duvoid / Myotonachol / Urecholine / Frosst / Urocarb) belongs to a group of drugs known as cholines.
Duvoid is used in the treatment of acute postoperative and postpartum non-obstructive (functional) urinary retention and neurogenic atony of the urinary bladder with retention.
It relieves difficulties in urinating caused by surgery, drugs, or other factors.
Duvoid is manufactured by Cipla.
Duvoid Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Duvoid exactly as directed.
The usual recommended dosage is 10mg - 25mg three or four times daily, taken half an hour before meals.
Duvoid Precautions
Tell your doctor before taking Duvoid, if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you have Intestinal or urinary obstruction, recent myocardial infarction or recent intestinal anastomosis.
