Myotonachol General Information
Myotonachol (generic name: bethanechol; brand names include: Duvoid / Myotonachol / Urecholine / Frosst / Urocarb) belongs to a group of drugs known as cholines.
Myotonachol is used in the treatment of acute postoperative and postpartum non-obstructive (functional) urinary retention and neurogenic atony of the urinary bladder with retention.
It relieves difficulties in urinating caused by surgery, drugs, or other factors.
Myotonachol is manufactured by Cipla.
Myotonachol Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Myotonachol exactly as directed.
The usual recommended dosage is 10mg - 25mg three or four times daily, taken half an hour before meals.
Myotonachol Precautions
Tell your doctor before taking Myotonachol, if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you have Intestinal or urinary obstruction, recent myocardial infarction or recent intestinal anastomosis.
