Urocarb General Information
Urocarb (generic name: bethanechol; brand names include: Duvoid / Myotonachol / Urecholine / Frosst / Urocarb) belongs to a group of drugs known as cholines.
Urocarb is used in the treatment of acute postoperative and postpartum non-obstructive (functional) urinary retention and neurogenic atony of the urinary bladder with retention.
It relieves difficulties in urinating caused by surgery, drugs, or other factors.
Urocarb is manufactured by Cipla.
Urocarb Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Urocarb exactly as directed.
The usual recommended dosage is 10mg - 25mg three or four times daily, taken half an hour before meals.
Urocarb Precautions
Tell your doctor before taking Urocarb, if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you have Intestinal or urinary obstruction, recent myocardial infarction or recent intestinal anastomosis.
